Fascinated with the making process, the fictional character 'OC' creates material worlds using found materials such as plastic bottles to cotton wool. She uses a different methods of manipulation to create intriguing sculptural shapes within the work. The minimal imagery creates maximum impact.

OC describes the work to be pictorially abstract. The use of simplistic materials combined the complexity of materiality creates an underlying juxtaposition. The loss of materiality is clear. She wanted you to see these materials in a new light hence why she uses a vibrant and bold colour palette. Materials like plastic for example is nothing that we use within our every day lives for example as a water bottle. Society are starting to depreciate these materials, whereas OC is trying to express how important these materials are to us. What would we do without these materials in our everyday lives?
